Uristic is a word that means our cat food is optimized for long term urinary tract health. The amino acid DL-Methionine raises the acidity of urine; which helps break down urine crystals; in turn reducing inflammation of the urinary tract. Our canned cat foods cans contain 0.42% DL-Methionine; which is the equivalent of the 1.0% DL-Methionine in our dry cat and kitten formula when adjusted for the different amounts of wet food vs. dry food consumed while following our recommended daily feeding guidelines. DL-Methionine occurs naturally in our fresh ingredients.
