Sourced: from our backyard in the Colorado Rockies! All of our antlers are naturally shed.
We only sell grade A and B antlers, which means that it's nearly in perfect condition and there's still the natural brown coloration and little to no sun damage.
Other specs: All of our antlers are hand sorted by weight. Medium antlers weigh 101-200g. There will be variations in size, medium elk antlers can range from 6" (thick, fat pieces) to 12" (skinnier pieces).
Good for: Our medium elk antlers are ideal for medium to large (30+lbs) dogs who are powerful chewers. An antler of this size will likely withstand weeks to months of regular chewing before it needs to be replaced. This is a whole antler which is much more durable than a split antler - however, there is no exposed marrow (the most nutritious part of the antler).
Please note: Antlers are very dense and hard - we do not recommend them for dogs with underlying dental problems. Elk antlers have a higher ratio of soft inner marrow compared to the extremely hard outer layer, meaning that it won't be as dense as a deer antler.
